Road Maintenance and Construction Worker III

Curry County Road Department is accepting applications for a Maintenance and Construction Worker III.  Performs a variety of skilled manual tasks and operates heavy and specialized equipment requiring journeyman level skills in the general construction and maintenance of County roads, bridges and related facilities.  Minimum of three years’ experience in general highway maintenance and construction work; sufficient education to insure the ability to read, write and perform basic arithmetic computations; or any satisfactory equivalent of experience and training.  Requires valid Class A Oregon Commercial Driver License.  Flagger card preferred.  Salary: $22.03 - $25.54/hour.  Pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check required. Communications Deputy

The Curry County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for a full time Communications Deputy.  The Communications Deputy answers emergency and service calls from the public and dispatches police, fire and medical units.  Special requirements for the position include:  applicants must be at least 21 years of age; have a valid driver license; type 45 wpm; high school graduation or equivalent; willingness and ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.  Experience or certification preferred but not mandatory.  Salary:  $3856 – 4922/month plus excellent benefits. Maintenance Assistant/Groundskeeper

Curry County Event Center on the Beach is accepting applications for temporary, part time (less than 20 hours per week)  Maintenance Assistant/Groundskeepers.  These positions are to help with maintenance before, during and after the Fair at the end of July.   High school graduation or equivalent; minimum two years’ experience performing manual labor in construction, landscaping or maintenance.

Corrections Deputy

Camp Host

Curry County Parks is seeking volunteer, contracted, seasonal camp host(s) for the County park system.  The County provides an RV space, with full hookups.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to greeting campers, grounds and facility maintenance, cleaning restrooms, and assisting with check-in.  Road Deputy (Certified Preferred)

 Curry County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for a Road Deputy.  Enforces state and local traffic, criminal, and civil laws and ordinances.  Patrols roads, waterways, and business and residential areas.  One continuous year of experience as a law enforcement officer, or graduation from a two year college with an Associate’s degree in Law Enforcement; or any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training.  Must have a valid driver license.  DPSST certification preferred.  Salary:  $4109 – 5244/month depending on experience and certification.  Includes excellent benefits and retirement.   Pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check required.
