Juvenile Justice School Outreach Officer
Curry County is accepting applications for a full time School Outreach Officer in the Juvenile Department. The primary duties include the investigation, evaluation, counseling, mentoring and guidance of youth, and can understand, educate, and manage youth focused opioid prevention programs. An employee in this classification is responsible for performing casework and for the preparation of related records and reports. Employees in this class are required to exercise independent judgment in applying policies and procedures to well-defined situations. Position will also run the Youth Employment Work Program for eight weeks in the summer. Deputy IT Director

Curry County is accepting applications for a full time Deputy IT Director. The primary role of the IT Deputy Director is to ensure effective operations and services throughout the County IT systems. This is a hands-on position, with the Deputy Director managing the IT Service Desk and IT operations as assigned by the IT Director. A candidate for this position should have a High School Diploma, a GED, or equivalent, a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, and three years of progressively responsible experience in providing IT Services, or any combination of education and experience that would provide the applicant with the required knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the job. Community Resource Officer

Curry County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for a full time Community Resource Officer.  This is a non-sworn uniformed position who serves as a community resource to enhance the mission of the Curry County Sheriff’s Office by resolving problems and acting as a liaison. Communication Deputy

The Curry County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for a full time Communications Deputy.  The Communications Deputy answers emergency and service calls from the public and dispatches police, fire and medical units.  Special requirements for the position include: applicants must be at least 18 years of age; have a valid driver license; type 45 wpm; high school graduation or equivalent; willingness and ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.  Experience or certification preferred but not mandatory.  Salary:  $4123 – 5262/month plus excellent benefits. Camp Host

Curry County Parks is seeking volunteer, contracted, seasonal camp host(s) for the County park system.  The County provides an RV space, with full hookups.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to greeting campers, grounds and facility maintenance, cleaning restrooms, and assisting with check-in. The camp host must be able to use technology in that some of the reservations must be managed online.  A background check is required.   A stipend of $500 per month is paid.  Please complete this application.  Road Deputy (Certified Preferred)

 Curry County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for a Road Deputy.  Enforces state and local traffic, criminal, and civil laws and ordinances.  Patrols roads, waterways, and business and residential areas.  One continuous year of experience as a law enforcement officer, or graduation from a two year college with an Associate’s degree in Law Enforcement; or any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training.  Must have a valid driver license.  DPSST certification preferred.  Salary:  $4393 – 5607/month depending on experience and certification.  Includes excellent benefits and retirement.   Pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check required.
