MISSION STATEMENT
The Curry County Juvenile Department protects the community by reducing delinquency and increasing youth accountability through restorative justice.

PUBLIC SAFETY
The community is entitled to safety from crime. The Juvenile Department provides response to delinquent behavior and control of youth who violate the law and the rights of others.

ACCOUNTABILITY
Delinquent youth incur an obligation to the community and victims they offend. The Juvenile Department holds youth responsible for their behavior by providing services/programs which require accountability for their delinquent behavior.

COMPETENCY
Juvenile offenders should leave the Juvenile Justice System more capable of living productively and responsibly in our community. The Juvenile Department promotes youth competency development to enable youth to become contributing members of our community.

YOUTH ADVOCACY
Juvenile offenders deserve the opportunity for individualized assessment and fair treatment so their best interest and general well being will be served. The Juvenile Department advocates for appropriate treatment by the Juvenile Justice System, and individualized programs and services for youth.
