Citizen's Revenue Task Force

The Citizen’s Revenue Task Force (CRTF) is an ad-hoc citizen committee established for the purpose of examining the County’s revenue options in light of expected drastic revenue shortfalls.  The CRFT will consider the many options available for increasing county revenues in fiscal year 2018/19 and beyond in order to avoid, or at least mitigate, continued reductions in vital county services, especially public safety. Members of the CRTF shall be comprised of no fewer than five (5) and no more than (7) residents of Curry County appointed by the Board of Commissioners. The CRTF will be supported by the County Finance Manager and/or County Administrator.

All Curry County citizens are urged to apply. The Board of Commissioners seeks a broad cross-section of citizens including small business owners, (especially those involed with food & beverage services and tourism), full and part-time employees, retirees, and others. Application can be made by submitting the volunteer application form available by clicking (application) and submitting not later than Jan. 2, 2018

A meeting schedule for the Citizens Revenue Task Force has not be set. It is anticipated that the members will be appoionted at the BOC meeting on Jan. 2, 2018.  The CRTF members can determine their own meeting schedule in order to accomodate their own needs.  A total of four or five meetings will probably proved adequate in order to make a final recommendation(s) to the Board of Commissioners in February or March of 2018.

 Curry County Budget Committee

Budget Committee meetings are normally held in May of every year and usually consist of two or three joint meetings with the Board of Commissioners.

Those citizens interested in serving on the Budget Committee should apply by clicking: (application).
Applications should be submitted as soon as possible, but not later than Feb. 28, 2018
