Curry County Citizens’ Committee

 

Current Vacancies:

Public Services Financial Advisory Committee

Public Services Financial Advisory Committee’s purpose is to explore short and long term fiscal and organizational alternatives to sustain a legal and acceptable County Public Services Department, and to make recommendations to the Board of Commissioners regarding those alternatives. The Committee shall look at two scenarios: one with the proposed FY 2013-2014 $2.1 million budget, and a second with the proposed FY 2013-2014 law levy passage budget.

 

The Committee shall consist of five (5) members. Members must be residents of Curry County and must have some background in areas served by the Public Services Department.

 

Coos-Curry Housing Authority

2 vacancies exist on the Coos-Curry Housing Authority and we are accepting applications. The following is the description of the committee. Undertake & develop programs to assist residents in providing safe and sanitary dwelling accommodations for low income renters.

 

Curry County Human Services Advisory Board

 

Curry County Planning Commission  

This Committee guides responsible growth and makes decisions on land-use requests. There are three positions to be filled – one from each geographic area of Curry County (North, Central, and South.)    The Board is looking for equal geographic representation and occupational diversity (no more than 2 in same occupation or profession.)
